Wine Symphony is pleased to welcome Bodegas y Vinedos Tamaral to our portfolio in April!
Bodegas y Vinedos Tamaral is a small ambitious winery in Spain’s Ribera del Duero region. Founded in 1997, in Padilla del Duero, just outside the historic wine town of Penafiel, Bodegas y Vinedos Tamaral is committed to blending the very best of the region’s traditions with state-of-the-art winemaking techniques and facilities. They source grapes from their own vineyards in Pesquera del Duero and Padilla del Duero, as well as from old vines from growers on long-term contracts in the village of Banos de Valdearado.
The vineyards are all Tinto Fino, the local clone of tempranillo, of which 30% are over 100 years old and half are at more than 900 meters altitude. This unique combination of low yielding old vines and high altitude vineyards give the wines of Bodegas y Vinedos Tamaral great intensity, concentration and structure.
