Andrew F. Bell, President
Wine Symphony’s Founder and President, Andrew Bell, began his wine career in San Francisco in 1987. He worked alongside famed hotelier and restaurateur Bill Kimpton, and opened Splendido’s in 1989. In 1992, Bell moved to Paris, and in September of that year, was invited to work the crush side by side one of the Jura’s most recognized producers, Frederic Lornet. Following the harvest, Bell continued to live in Paris, where he spent two years running a boutique wine shop at Le Marche de Buci, on Rue de Seine in Paris’ 6th Arrondisement. He next joined the sommelier team at the famous Michelin three-star restaurant Guy Savoy as second sommelier. It is this knowledge and experience that Bell brings to cultivate and develop the premium portfolio of wines Wine Symphony carries.
Bell’s dedication to the wine industry can be felt by the success of his distribution company and by the many successful professionals he has helped to impact as an educator and mentor. He is also the co-founder of the American Sommelier Association, a not-for-profit educational organization and support system of sommeliers around the country.
